 Mississippi Market is a full
service natural foods store and deli that is open to
the public. (You don't have to be a member to shop,
although we always love to have people become
member-owners.) We offer high quality products with an
emphasis on organically grown foods, low-processed,
locally produced and minimally packaged items. The
co-op has a wide selection of produce, grocery,
cheeses, coffee, homeopathic and herbal remedies,
natural health and body care, and housewares. We
encourage you to discover the wonderful world of
healthful living at Mississippi Market.
Certified Organically Grown
Organically grown items at Mississippi Market are all
labeled. You can be assured that all products we carry
with the organic label are certified organically grown.
Certified organically grown means that the product has
been grown and transported without the use of synthetic
pesticides, herbicides, or preservatives, has not been
genetically engineered or irradiated, and has been
inspected by a third-party certification agency.
Natural Foods Deli
Mississippi Market's deli gives you healthy foods and
convenience, using only fresh, high quality
ingredients. Everything is made from scratch using
organic ingredients whenever possible. We offer a
selection of vegan items and others are free of wheat,
gluten, dairy and sugar. Customers are welcome to place
special orders from the deli with two-day advance
notice.
Buying Bulk Foods
Mississippi Market has an extensive line of bulk
foods, including: grains, beans, nuts, dried fruits,
oils, detergents, and health and body care products.
You save money, get the amount you need and eliminate
unnecessary packaging by buying in bulk. Here's a guide
for buying in bulk:
- Weigh your empty container on one of the
available scales. Record the weight and the product's
PLU number. Tell them to the cashier when you check
out.
- Free paper bags, and plastic containers for sale
are available in the bulk section for your
convenience.
Reuse Bags and Containers
We encourage you to reuse bags, containers and egg
cartons in order to save our earth's resources.
Place a Product Special Order
Fill out a special order slip with your name, phone
number, member-owner status and the description and
quantity of the special order item at the customer
service desk. Most special orders are received within a
week of ordering.
Case Discounts
You may place special orders for case lots, or buy
pre-ordered products in volume for a special
discount.
Your Satisfaction is
Guaranteed
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase
please return it with the receipt within thirty
days.
And Member-Owners
Bring your membership card and use your membership
number every time you shop in order to get full credit
for all your purchases with us. Members of Mississippi
Market can write checks over the purchase amount for up
to $20 cash. We do not cash second party checks or
payroll checks. All checks returned for insufficient
funds will be charged a fee. Member discount coupons
are published in the February, June, August and October
editions of the Mississippi Market Member Newsletter.
This coupon is good for up to $5 off on a store
purchase during the month published.
